Definition

Price-to-Book. Share price divided by book value per share. Below 1.0 = stock is trading below its accounting value (potentially undervalued or in trouble).

Formula

P/B = Share price / Book value per share

Example

P/B of 0.8 means you can buy $1 of assets for $0.80.
